Located in the trendy, family-oriented midtown area, Young Israel of Ottawa is an Orthodox Synagogue at the heart of Ottawa's Jewish life. The Young Israel community is uniquely diverse, vibrant and caring. With warm Shabbat, Yom Tov and Daily services, and a wide variety of Torah classes, we welcome everyone and offer engaging and dynamic adult, youth and family activities.

With weekly Shabbat kiddush-lunches and youth groups, as well as year-round holiday events and programming, Young Israel is a Shul where everyone feels at home. There are daily classes led by Rabbi Gavriel Rudin, whose spiritual guidance and dedicated leadership is a treasured asset to our community.

Many of our congregants live just a short walk from our synagogue, which is conveniently located directly across the street from the Jewish Community campus, featuring the JCC, the mikveh, the Ottawa Jewish Community Day School, the Hillel Lodge, and all of Ottawa's kosher, Jewish daycares. Our community is within walking distance to Torah Day School and near the Kosher Loblaws. The surrounding areas feature many homes and apartments in a wide range of prices to meet your needs.
