Adath Shalom is a lay-led, egalitarian synagogue that both encourages and depends on its members to participate in the development and leadership of the Congregation and its programs. We offer weekly services that are informal and welcoming, stimulating adult education programs, children’s programming and programs for holidays.

This quilt was lovingly created by members of Adath Shalom and hangs on the wall of the chapel in the Jewish Community School, where the Congregation meets. It was assembled to serve also as a chuppa.

Choose Ottawa began in 2017, in response to hearing about so many of our friends struggling either with the cost of Jewish living in the larger Canadian cities or with the lack of Jewish infrastructure in the smaller Canadian cities. Once we realized that Ottawa has the perfect blend of each, we realized we had to let others know about it, and thus, Choose Ottawa began.
